Residents in Otley voted a resounding YES in the polls on Thursday 20th February heralding a new era for planning policy in the town.
90% of people voted for the town to have a meaningful say in its future development, especially important given the imminent housing development planned for the east of the town. Planners in Leeds must now use the Neighbourhood Plan alongside the Leeds Local Plan when making decisions on planning applications.

Anyone wishing to view the plan can do so on the town council website at www.otleytowncouncil.gov.uk. Copies of the plan and map will be available in the Town Council offices and at the library.
