Otley Bellman Terry Ford was up against 10 other Town Criers from across England in the 2016 Halifax Woolshops Town Crier Competition and came out the overall winner.

Terry said

“the standard of the competition was high and the organisers and public agreed it had been a fascinating and fun event for the town.  This has been a tremendous start to my year, following the Queen’s birthday celebrations and the Tour de Yorkshire .  As well as my civic duties I will be competing in a number of crier competitions this year, so I’m thrilled to have made  such a great start.”

Congratulations Terry on this great achievement.
