Otley Work Club provides a free service to Otley residents who are either unemployed, facing redundancy or are looking for a change of job. The club is run by a small but committed team of volunteers who have experience in both the public and private sectors including recruitment, training and other personnel areas. Based at Otley Core Resource Centre in Orchard Gate sessions are between 10am and 12noon on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month. The new timetable of sessions is as follows:
Thursday 2nd August 10.00am to 12noon
Thursday 16th August 10.00am to 12noon
Thursday 6th September 10.00am to 12noon
Thursday 20th September 10.00am to 12noon
Thursday 4th October 10.00am to 12noon

The Otley Work Club see a wide range of people seeking work in various types of occupations including professional, management, admin, sales and retail as well as skilled, manual and unskilled occupations. Many of the individuals who use the service go on to find employment quite quickly. The club try hard to create a friendly and supportive environment and see people as often as is needed.
Help on offer:

- writing a covering letter to accompany the CV
- information about online jobs websites
- effective online job searching
- support with Universal Job match
- preparing for job interviews
- some basic help with IT or referral to other sources of IT training
- using social media to access opportunities
