Otley Town Council wishes to see greater use of renewable energy, more energy efficiency and community involvement in energy as part of our vision for a greener, low carbon community.
The Town Council commissioned a feasibility study into community energy options and we now have a report with recommendations to provide a foundation for future work.
We would like to share the highlights of this feasibility study with you and our own initial ideas for how to take the ideas forward, including action to tackle energy efficiency and to support community initiatives including the potential formation of a new Community Energy Group.
You are cordially invited to join us to hear a summary of the report and share ideas on how to take forward Community Energy activities in Otley. A meeting will be held in the Town Council’s office on Orchard Gate, on Wednesday 22nd Nov from 7.30pm to 9.15pm. A summary presentation of the report will be made with ample opportunities for discussion and planning next actions. Officers from Leeds City Council will also join us to identify areas where we might work together.
Do join us if you can, and please RSVP to [email protected] if you are coming. If you can’t come but are interested to be kept in touch and get involved, please register your interest at the same email address.
