Council in the Community
The Council plays an important role within the community using its Community Development Officer to instigate and/or foster a broad range of voluntary bodies within the Town. These bodies are as diverse as sports clubs, youth development and domestic violence. The importance of having an officer dedicated to this role cannot be overstated as without the initial input or timely assistance many groups would not be available within the Town.
